SIOUX FALLS, SD –

A group of kids and a pageant queen are selling works of art for a good cause.

Miss State Fair Jade Possail came up with the idea to have kids at the Sanford Children’s Hospital write messages that will be transferred onto coffee mugs.

Those mugs will then be sold for $15 a piece, with 100 percent of the money going to the Children’s Miracle Network.

“I’m so excited to see what the kids make up, their imagination can go wild today. They can write whatever they want. Or they can draw a little picture. So I’m really excited to see how they turn out,” Possail said.

The South Dakota Wheat Commission is sponsoring the mug project.

You can buy the mugs at Choco Latte in Brookings or at the Miss SD State Fair 2013 Facebook page.
