· Senate Bill 4 – An Act to revise certain provisions regarding the classification of agricultural land for property tax purposes. Click link to see whole bill
Has been heard in Senate Taxation and amended to say – Agricultural land in each county shall be divided into eight (8) classes defined by the US Department of Agriculture’s soil conservation service as published in it soil survey for each county. SD State University shall provide each county with data and information for soil classification.
