With the expectation that the Farm Bill could hit the Senate floor later this week, a coalition of organizations supporting crop insurance is going to send a letter to all Senators urging them to oppose harmful amendments. The letter is pretty much identical to a letter that was sent to the House when that version of the bill was on the floor (which NAWG and several of our state organizations signed onto). This letter is OPT-OUT, such that if a national or state organization signed onto the House version, you will also be on the Senate version. If your state association did not join onto the House letter, you can still sign up for the Senate version at the link below. PLEASE NOTE, only state organizations (not individuals) can sign onto the letter. The deadline for signing up is COB this coming Wednesday.
