The experts were out talking about the wheat and global agricultural trade outlook recently. Taking a short-term view while speaking last week in Antigua, Guatemala, U.S. Wheat Associates (USW) Vice President of Overseas Operations Vince Peterson suggested that further downward moves in the wheat markets in coming weeks may create a buying and pricing opportunity for U.S. wheat importers. Looking longer term, U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Director of Global Policy Analysis Michael Dwyer told an industry export organization that macroeconomic conditions continue to support higher prices for agricultural commodities, including wheat.
